Kathleen Murvin is currently serving as an Adjunct Instructor in the Graduate School of Education at California Lutheran University. She retired in June 2016 as the Coordinator/Counselor of the Conejo Valley Unified School District’s BreakThrough Student Assistance Program. Working closely with Redleaf Resources, Kathleen enjoyed the opportunity to implement a grant from Ventura County Behavioral Health to assist Conejo Valley secondary students and their families navigate the school system safely and successfully. Kathleen began her career in education as a secondary Social Science and English teacher in the Los Angeles Unified School District. In 2000, she joined the Conejo Valley Unified School District as a School to Career Coordinator at Westlake High School, and then served as a counselor at Westlake High School and Sycamore Canyon School before beginning her “dream job” as a counselor at BreakThrough in 2012. Kathleen looks forward to continuing to forge school and community connections to help students of all ages reach their full academic and personal potential.
